Like gingerbread lattes, New Years has come early this year! And boy am I ready for it. I have my party hats lined up, blowers sparkling, “Auld Lang Syne” on repeat (Mariah Carey version of course), and, most importantly, resolutions written out long enough to fill a Santa sized “wish list” scroll.
So, why so eager to begin?
It’s November 12th, which means it’s exactly one year until I say “I Do” – WOW, I just got goose bumps.
… And the last thing I want to do is wobble, jiggle, juggle or puddle down the aisle. Instead let’s try a hop, skip or a leap to my hubby’s side – if we could master the Dirty Dancing finale lift that would be insanely incredible as well.
Let’s not get too excited though.
I DO want to know though that he can wrap his arms around me and hold me up with my feet dangling in the air.
After this post-engagement party week (emphasis on “party”) I need a kick in the butt to get myself back on track.
I’m not complaining. The cheese and wine theme has been wonderful and someway, somehow my scale has not punished me (yet) for it.
But I know it will if I don’t re-get my act together.
Step 1? Food. I recently stumbled upon (and by stumbled upon I mean watched The Today Show) an incredible program called “Freshology”. They deliver literally the tastiest and, as the name would hint, freshest meals to your front door every single day. That means no frozen food, no over-stocked fridge full of plastic tupperware – instead each day’s food comes in a re-usable cooler bag that you then return to your doorstep each night to be replaced by another.
Absolutely genius and I have to say by FAR the best healthy meal delivery plan I have ever seen or experienced (and trust me, I’ve tried them all!). You don’t have to be Einstein to try it. Why? Well, because there’s not much thought that goes into it! What you get, you eat! No snacking or cheating around it.
I’m so very excited for all that’s ahead and love that, thus far, you’ve stuck by my side.
I know 50+ lbs is not an easy feat, but if anyone’s going to do it I’m in the mentality that it could be me!
Now for the wedding planning … Dun dun duh nuh!
Same weight, same me, all new push to succeed.
XOXO,
Alex
