Do you ever wish you could snap your fingers or rub a genie lamp and POOF! Ten, twenty or, in my case, FIFTY pounds would instantly disappear? I certainly do. Sadly it’s not that simple, BUT I have found an easy (yes, I promise it’s easy!) solution to help speed up this t u r t l e – paced weight loss process.
Lemons.
No. I’m not kidding. No *asterisk* here with endless warnings or to-do’s next to it… It’s as easy as a simple squeeze.
There has been a lot of buzz going around about the power of drinking warm lemon water in the mornings, so I decided to join the movement, and give it a try myself.
Step 1: Wake up.
Step 2: Buy some lemons.
Step 3: Put warm water in a mug.
Step 4: Squeeze 1/2 of a lemon into the water.
Step 5: Drink the water.
And viola! Your work is done.
What’s the magic in these little yellow puckers?
- They detox (flushhhhh it out!).
- Boost up your immune system (and taste better than EmergenC – no offense, I do love you too).
- Help digestion (self explanatory).
- Push your body to lose weight (there’s something called “pectin” inside them that studies show really helps in losing those stubborn lbs.).
- Tighten and clear your skin (Vitamin C de-clogs those pores!).
Even if you don’t believe it, I insist you give it a try. Spend an extra 59¢ on your next trip to the store. I will admit its one of those things that has to become a habit. I swore I was going to try this for weeks, and never bought a single lemon. Once I stocked up though, it quickly penciled itself into my daily routine.
SO, lets start squeeeeezing out those pounds! Together. Ideally five before my engagement party. After all, if life gives you lemons, might as well use them for some good…
